Color Elements of the Score

$

Hello,

I found a Plugin Version that let's me specify the color of notes (including stems and beams)

I would like to be able to color:
- Staff lines
- Notes
- Rests
- Bar Lines (Vertical Lines)
- Lyrics
So all of this categories in different colors.

Can I do this by writing a plugin or must this be done on a lower level?
Has anyone a plugin to do things like that?

I'm grateful for every help

Get Position of Notes

Hello,

For a project I must be able to get the position of all elements in a score.

E.g. The first note is at position (x1, y1) in the score (in pixels or whatever)

At some point musescore must know at what position it places each element. Is it possible to extract this information somehow?

Thanks for your help

Name Intervals

Hello, I would like to know if any of you know a plugin that works to number the intervals, for example in the counterpoint.
I used the search engine and I did not find anything about it.
I found a plugin made by a user that seems to be abandoned and it does not work for me.
At the time of use it crashes Musescore and I do not know the reason.
This is http://codegists.com/snippet/qml/note-intervalqml_teamikl_qml

Thank you in advance and greetings

Sorry -my English is not very good so I have to write in German...
Hallo!
damit kleine Multimedia Anwendungen.
Das, was
Musescore beim Einlesen von Midi-Files macht, würde ich in ganz
vereinfachter Form in meiner Software (VB.NET) benötigen.
Bitte helfen Sie mir!
Vielen Dank und beste Grüße aus Österreich!

Harp pedal change

Kzh created a plugin for Harp Colour Notes by Pedal and a palette that includes all seven notes with all three status of each. I installed the plugin, created the palette but I can't figure out how to add contents of the palettes elements. The book instruction is "drag an element either from the Master Palette or from the score..." The problem is that these elements ( A + flat sign or A + sharp sign, etc) do not exist anywhere.
How can I create these?
II am a beginner and appreciate any help. Thank you

Plugin that transposes a lick to all 12 keys

$

Very often when producing practice material I end up transposing a lick to all 12 keys.

I would love a plugin that allows me to transpose a measure (or several) with a lick to the other 11 keys (e.g. in the cicle of fifths) with the simple push of one button.

Any ideas if this could be done with a plugin?

Is there a way to alter the plugin so that it spells out chords starting with the lowest note (and not from top to bottom)?

Export flow control to iRealPro

Hi!

I'm new to MuseScore. What a fantastic program! I'm currently writing a plugin to directly transfer chord symbols from MuseScore to an iRealPro lead sheet and have been unable to locate the bar repeats, To Coda, Segno, D.C al Capo/Segno and Voltas.

I've looked under element.type and annotation.type without any luck. Are these accessible to plugins?

Thanks for any help,

Norman

Batch "Save online" upload to musescore.com?

$

Hi,

Short version

Am I right in thinking that there's no way to invoke "Save online" for batch processing?

Long version

I'm new to MuseScore and have a challenge of uploading over 100 small scores to musescore.com (once I've upgraded to a Pro account).

I've seen the Batch Convert plugin, and think it would make sense to add "Save online" as another export format. Alternatively, I thought I might be able to adapt the "scorelist" plugin to upload all the open scores.

Unfortunately, I've no experience with C++ or Qt - but I've had a dig around...

It looks like everything in the upload is run via the showUploadScoreDialog() function, so to do a true batch process - without showing the dialog - would require some C++/Qt work, which isn't feasible for me.

That leaves me looking at just adapting the scorelist plugin to upload all the open scores (saving some menu clicks)

Looking at batch_convert.qml, I can see I'd need a saveOnline() function, similar to writeScore() - but I don't know how to connect the JavaScript in QL to the MuseScore.

I found qmlplugin.cpp in the source, which has "QmlPlugin::writeScore()" - but no equivalent for uploading online.

Am I right in thinking that, without a method for it in QmlPlugin, there's no way to invoke "Save online" for plugins/batch processing?

Cheers,
Dave.

playback with Play Panel but with capo position

With instruments that use a capo the score is often written without regard for the capo and then it is noted what fret you are to put the capo. For example you might write a score in the key of C but play it with the capo on the second fret and this would put it in the key of D. If you take this same score and play it with Play Panel, it will sound in the key of C. It would be useful to have a selection in Play Panel to say where the capo is located and then sound in that key. It might default with no capo but let you give what fret you are to put the capo if needed.

Harmony generator plugin

Hi,

I'm an open source contributor and a computer science undergraduate student, I would like to know whether there is a plugin or feature available in musescore which helps on generating a Harmony parts.

If not, I would like to contribute on it as a research. I have some ideas about that and was searching whether similar applications are already available.

Thanks

31-TET retuning plugin

$

I've recently made a plugin which allows playback of compositions in 31-TET (31 notes per octave).

The link to source is here: https://github.com/euwbah/musescore-31-tet-plugin/blob/master/31-TET.qml

The accidentals used are as follows:

Double flat - 5 steps down
3/4-tone flat (looks like 'db') - 4 steps down
flat with down arrow - 3 steps down
flat - 2 steps down
natural with down arrow / flat with up arrow - 1 step down

natural with up arrow / sharp with down arrow - 1 step up
sharp - 2 steps up
sharp with up arrow - 3 steps up
3/4-tone sharp (sharp with three vertical lines) - 4 steps up
double sharp - 5 steps up

Custom key signatures need to be added into the dialog in order to be applied. Make a selection before retuning to retune and use a particular key signature for a particular section of a song. If no selection is made, the whole score will be retuned as such.

I don't think many of you will find this plugin useful, but it is definitely an interesting experiment nonetheless haha.

does this plugin exist? beam angle straightner?

Hi,

I'm a drummer and when I transcribe drumsheets on musescore I'm losing a lot of time making all the beam angles straight. Is there a way with a plugin to automatically do this?

I uploaded a drumsheet so you can see what I mean. Sometimes when the beam angles are really sharp it's more difficult to read it.

Color sharps and flats a different color

$

Hi, my wish is to get a plugin like "colorhalfsteps" but that gives the choice of the color, and most of all, the possibility to color sharps : "army brownish green", and flats : "orange".
On the frequency scale , I color staves lines in Blue, Green, Yellowish and Red to match the high pitch of Sopranos, then Altos, Tenors and finally the lower frequency, red for Bass.

With the same spirit, the color for sharps has to be a higher frequency than for flats.

Actually, I use #D46503 for flats, and #666F16 for sharps. Those colors are easy to read on a screen, and are enough light when we print a score, knowing that many printer will darken a bit all they print.

But doing it by hand is tedious.

This ends my wish list ;-)

I'm no programmer, but my guess is that it is doable by the ones who know...

Thanks in advance

How can I change the Stave to JianPu( numbered musical notation )

Export a musicXML-file in png-images(width*height pixel)

$

The formula :
size_tenth = ((size_pixel * 25.4 ) / resolution_dpi ) * ( tenth / millimeters )

The parameters are :
size_pixel in a png-image generated by the command line MuseScore.exe -o
resolution_ dpi specified in MuseScore.exe -r
tenth : specified in musicXML <scaling/tenth>>
millimeters : specified in musicXML <scaling/miilimeters>
size_tenth : specified in musicXML <page-layout> <page-height> or <page-width> or <xx-margin>

the command line is :
MuseScore.exe -s -m -r <resolution_dpi> musicXML.xml -o musicXML.png

Example :

"standard values" good enough to display a score on a standard screen
millimeters = 7 , tenth = 40 , resolution_dpi = 100

to have a score in a square 800x800 pixel :
size_pixel = 800 pixel

size_tenth = ((800*25.4)/100)*(40/7) = 1161 tenths

in the musixXML.xml file :

 <scaling>
  <millimeters>7</millimeters>
  <tenths>40<tenths>
 </scaling>
 <page-layout>
  <page-height>1161<page-height>
  <page-width>1161<page-width>
  <page-margins>
   <xx-margin>10</xx-margin>
   ... ( for all the margins )
  </page-margins>
 </page-layout>

The MuseScore command line to generate the png 800x800 pixels :
MuseScore.exe -s -m -r 100 musicXML.xml -o musicXML.png

Valid functions (methods?) for changing clef via plugin?

$

This was asked previously by another member in https://musescore.org/en/node/121891, but I hadn't seen any responses.
Trying to write a simple script to change the clef type (to bass clef, aka "F" clef, in this case), but not having success...

var BC= newElement(Element.CLEF);
BC.clefType("F"); // here I also tried BC.setClef("F") and BC.setClefType("F")
cursor.add(BC);

Any help would be appreciated...thanks!

auto-beam musicxml import

$

I would like "auto-beam" when I import musicXML in MuseScore, using the command line.
I do not have "beam" information in my musicXML file, so, by default, there is no beam in MuseScore import.

Is there :
- a flag in MusicXML file, readable by MuseScore, which can set "auto-beam" in MuseScore import ?
- a "function" in the museScore-plugins , to reset the beams ( like "CTRL-A/Reset beams" in the GUI ) ?

I use this command-line :
musescore.exe -s -m myMusicXML.xml -o myPng.png -p myMuseScoreScript

Thank you for your help
